There were Nine (9) state FFA Degrees were conferred upon Electric City FFA members.  The state FFA degree is the highest award the State FFA can confer.  To receive their degree, members must have two years of membership, completed 360 hours of agriculture education classes, have earned or invested $1000 or worked 300 hours in an approved project, demonstrate FFA and parliamentary procedure knowledge, and have satisfactory scholastic records.  The following Electric City Members achieved this degree:

Emily Berg is a senior at CMR High School. She breeds, shows, and sells sheep.  In the last three years she has breed and raised numerous sheep.  Emily had 39 documented hours of community service. She has competed in livestock evaluation, district leadership conference, and fundraising events.

Amber Brown is a junior at Capitol High School in Helena. She has conducted a wide variety of home improvement, entrepreneurship, and research projects. Most recently she chaired the Ag Communications project putting signage along the highways to identify crops. Amber has 73 hours of community service. She has competed in multiple events including  agri-science fair, range days, floriculture, and ag communications.

Victoria Brown is a junior at CMR High School. She has conducted research, raised small animals, raised a garden, and participated in food processing projects. Vicki has documented 120 hours of community service activities. She has participated in multiple FFA events and activities including Range Days, Ag communications, Food Science, and Ag Sales.

Shelby Depping early graduated from CMR in January. She had a work experience placement job which earned her degree. Shelby participated in a variety of chapter activities as well as veterinary science, livestock evaluation, and Horse Judging.

Dallas Dickinson is a senior at CMR High School. He has raised poultry for eggs and showing purposes. He also worked at the Farmer’s Market in the pony rides.  Dallas has been rebuilding a classic tractor.Dallas has 156.5 hours of documented community service activities.  He has competed in livestock evaluation and various poultry shows.

Loni Franzitch is a senior at CMR High School. Loni has conducted projects raising market lambs and work experience at Fleet Supply. Loni recorded over 40 hours of community service. She has participated in a variety of activities including market plan, ag sales, food science, veterinary science, and livestock evaluation.

Austin Hader is a junior at CMR High School. Austin is currently the Electric City FFA Photographer. Austin has conducted a research project with dogs, raised a variety of small animals, participated in the MSU Bioscience program, and held a work experience project. Austin has logged 52 hours of community service.  He has participated in a variety of activities from soils judging to meats evaluation and veterinary sciences.

Katie Lamping is a senior at CMR High School. Katie is currently serving as the Electric City FFA chapter President. She has held work experience placement jobs at several locations including Fords Drive in, Great Falls Country Club, and North 40 Outfitters. Katie has over 50 hours of community service.  She participated in agronomy, livestock evaluation, veterinary science, mechanics, and a variety of leadership events.

Samantha Morris is a junior at CMR High School. Sam serves as the Electric City FFA parliamentarian. She has conducted research inphotography, Perceptions of GMO’s, dog training, and participated in the MSU Bioscience Project. Sam has recorded 35 hours of community service. She has participated in Ag Issues Forum and was a member of the 2014 state winning team who competed at Nationals in Louisville. Sam also has competed in Mechanics, Food Science, parli pro, livestock, and recently won first place in the State AgriScience Fair Social Systems division.
