Ryan Anderson has loved what he does ever since he began 13 years ago. Anderson is not only an english teacher but also a track coach.

“My favorite part of coaching is watching the kids advance throughout the years,” he said.

Anderson coaches discus and shotput. Out of the two, he prefers discus.

“It’s [discus] interesting that there is so many parts to it and it’s cool when the kids figure out how to piece them together,” Anderson said.

He also thinks the competition of the sport is interesting. He enjoys how you don’t have just one person going against you.

“Not only are you competing against the other school, you are also competing against yourself and trying to get better with every event,” he said.
