Alecks Leavey

I’m Alecks Leavey. I spell my name wrong because I can get away with it. I really like sports, and that was probably the only reason I was allowed to be sports editor this year. I’m an Air Force kid, so I’ve lived in some pretty cool places. I can’t wait to graduate and spend $50,000 a year to do nothing but party. Go Patriots!

Beth Stanley

My name is Beth Stanley and I am a senior this year. This is my first year at CMR and so far it has been a great experience. My family and I moved here over the summer from Washington DC for the military. A few days after getting here I joined the Wranglers. Being on the team has really helped me to make new friends and have an all-around better experience at CMR. Currently I am working at KRTV as a camera operator on the weekdays and working an internship with the anchors on the weekends.  Next year I am hoping to go to Purdue University and study broadcast journalism.

Caitlyn Aakre

My name is Caitlyn Marie Aakre. I have the most generic first and middle names ever made. I’m a senior and I am entertainment editor for the Stampede because it’s apparent I have an obsession with things that don’t really matter. I watch a lot of TV when I get time, but these days most of my time is spent at McDonald’s working and being a cool kid. J Other than that, I play in both symphonic and pep band and am part of the student government. Basically, I don’t have time for sleep. I love Lady Gaga. That is all.

Caroline Perkins

So I’m pretty much a loner, but I do chill with my friends. I’m a little bit crazy when you get to know me but I’m fun at the same time. I love to play sports that include hitting, I used to play football and I want to learn how to kick box, and cage fight when I get older. I think the most amazing thing to do would to be able to fight Mike Tyson, (:  Just for fun.

Corey Allen

Born and bred in Allentown, Pennsylvania. I love music, playing guitar, football, and friends. I’ve been a Dallas Cowboy fan since birth; my favorite food is a grilled cheese sandwich; favorite band is “Staind”; and my favorite color is grey. I want to study computer animation and hope to one day do special effects for major Hollywood movies. I’m awesome, now you know.

Deja Lacey

The loud girl that you here coming down the hallway talking about everything is me, Deja Lacey. I moved to Montana just a year ago from California and so far I do not love it, but I’ll live. I love dance and my favorite colors are green, purple, and black.

Greighsen Adams

I go by Greighsen. I love to sit down with a good book and stare out my window at the view of the city below. I can’t stand doing nothing which means I have to be doing something at all times.

Jake Settera

Jake Settera here. This is my first year on staff and I do mostly photography. In my free time I enjoy riding my giraffe named Alejandro through the wide mountain ranges of Montana. I also spend a lot of time knitting mittens for kittens, directing horror movies, and having lunch with Simon Cowell. I eat a lot of yogurt. Thank you.

Jennifer Verzuh

I am the Stampede’s Website Editor and outside of journalism I am involved in drama, key club, choir, and tennis within the school and dance and piano outside of school. I have two brothers, a dog, and my favorite classes currently are Honors English, Forensics, and Drama.

Kaidin Phelan

My name is Kaidin Phelan and I am a sophomore at CMR and this is my first year on staff, I enjoy writing and reading which is one of the reasons I wanted to be in newspaper, I also play video games and I love archery. My favorite classes are Psychology and Newspaper.

Katie Hodges

Hi! My name is Katie Hodges, and I occasionally abuse exclamation marks. I am thrilled to be the print editor-in-chief of the Stampede, mostly because I love journalism and creating a paper every month with a creative, amazing staff. When I am not living in the journalism room or at Exclamation Point Abusers Anonymous, I spend a lot of time at Barnes and Noble and on speech and debate trips, generally going loopy due to lack of sleep.

Keeli Telleen

I like wearing sunglasses, climbing trees, and playing my guitar and singing really loudly. I love key lime pie, polar bears, and leaving footprints in the sand. I also love laughing!

Kelsey Smith

Hey! My name is Kelsey Smith! When I’m not contemplating life’s trials and tribulations, I can be found on the volleyball court or perhaps around CMR taking photos of students. However, I try to find time to play with my horses, “Razzledazzler,” and “Bedazzled,” or watch one of the many Disney Princess movies that happen to live on my shelf.  I am excited to write and continue to take photos for the Stampede and Russellog! 

Kendra Hix

My name is Kendra Hix. Movies, pictures, and nature are some of my favorite things. I move to my own beat and I don’t really worry about what people think. I’m either really loud or really quiet. I have a dog named Pedro and he’s pretty rad. Go team!

Kristi Gange

Hello! My name is Kristi Gange and I am one of the many overly sarcastic people that are on staff this year. I am also the features editor. I am a wee bit obsessed with stand-up comedy and I often steal lines from movies. My favorite activities are laughing and Late Night Flip Time, which go hand-in-hand. That’s enough. Stay golden.

Lindsey Buck

Yo! Wassup, wassup? My name is Lindsey and I’m the news and opinion editor on staff this year. My New Year’s resolution this year was to stop at every lemonade stand I see for the rest of my life. So far, success. I am an employee at Office max, I enjoy the movie “Baby Mama,” and I’d marry John Steinbeck any day. I’m pretty much the biggest nerd I’ve ever met.  Keep it fresh.

Luke Sisko

Born and raised in Great Falls, MT. His favorite hobbies are Drawing, Meditating, and playing video games in his spare time. He has two jobs outside of CMR. One is he is a crew member at McDonalds and has been working there for almost 3 years. His second job is a DJ/Music Producer and has been doing that for 5 years now. He started in May 2009.

Meg Smith

If I could be any food, I would be pasta. Mostly because my greatest dream in life is to move to Italy and speak with an interchangeable British and French accent. Now, whilst this is a bit of stretch of the imagination, it is concurrent with my hopes of becoming a philosophizer of life. By the way, my name is Meg.

Peyton Fulbright

I’ve played guitar since early 2008. At the beginning of 2001 I started playing bass. I train at Electric City MMA. I hate Montana.

Ryan Murphy

Hola! I’m Ryan. I really like Italian food and it’s my dream to travel there. And you can talk all the trash you want, but I’m proud fan of the San Diego Chargers.

Ryan Schlosser

Ryan Schlosser drives a scooter a cmr at super lighting speed. My favorite sports are football, baseball. I was born on Dec, 27, 1994. Drive myself to Burger King every day or Sam’s Club. On finals day I go to Arby’s, the Dollar Store, or Little Caesars. I drive my scooter to all of these places.

Shayna Leonard

My name is Shayna Leonard and this is my fourth year on staff. I am the Online Editor-in-chief of the Stampede. I absolutely love journalism and when I graduate this year I will be going to the University of Montana majoring in journalism and minoring in environmental studies. I enjoy writing (of course), playing video games, and spending time with my family and friends.

Stephanie Mouser

My name is Stephanie Mouser, and I love being eccentric. As a kid I always wanted to be a designer and an author. My favorite things to do, are make-u,p stories no matter how far from reality, and design clothes. My personality can be described as an Eeyore: quiet, imaginative, and a bit negative from time to time.

Taylor Korb

Trying to find me can be tough, but once a week you will find me is at 5 in the morning dancing my heart out in the CMR field house. Hi I’m Tayler Korb and I am the new business manager for the Stampede. I am also on the CMR Wrangler dance team. If there is music then I will be there.

Whisper Harris

My name is Whisper Harris. I am a sophomore at CMR High School. This is my first year on the stampede staff. I love to read, write, and take pictures. When I graduate I hope to go to college and major in English, after that I want to go to Law school and become a lawyer. I am so excited to write and take pictures for the print and website version of the stampede.

Zach Pottratz

My name is Zach Pottratz. I am a sophomore at CMR and this is my first year on newspaper staff. My favorite things to do are play video games, Pep Band, hunting, fishing and sleeping.  My favorite classes are Newspaper and Biology.

Mandi Monroe

My name is Mandi Monroe and I’m a senior at CMR. I am artistic and like examining the details of life. On staff, I design pages for the Stampede and write the shorter stories. Painting, cooking and wonderful stuff like that is what I am good at.  I am also the girl who is bringing the puppy to school starting in November. To set the record straight if you ask me first you can pet the dog.
