While many students are planning on graduating in May. There is a select group of students who have chosen to leave the halls of CMR a little sooner.

One of those students is senior Michael Burk. Burk’s last day in Jan. 9. Burk said he chose to early grad for one reason.

“I didn’t want to spend four more months in high school if I didn’t need to,” he said. After high school, Burk plans on attending Great Falls College MSU, and then transferring to the University of Montana to pursue a major in physiology.

“It’s something that has always interested me”, he said of the area of study.

Burk believes early graduation is a great opportunity.

“You get to go off and do what you want instead of being stuck in high school another four months”, he said.

While Burk is excited for his future, he admits he will miss his friends, and will always remember the football games and assemblies during his time at CMR.

“Those memories just stick with you,” Burk said.
